The FITEL S185PMROF fusion splicer has a powerful 3 electrodes arc system (Patented Ring of Fire technology), but the same compact and portable design you expect from the S185 series. The ROF (Ring of Fire) plasma field (evenly distributed heat field) is wider and adjustable which enables splicing of Large Diameter Fiber(LDF) up to 800μm in cladding. The result is reduced splice loss with large diameter fiber, multi core fibers (MCF) or fibers with dissimilar cladding.
